FSSAI is a mandatory license for starting any food business in India. FSSAI stands for Food Safety and Standards Authority of India who are responsible for performing quality checkups on food products to make sure those cases of adulteration and low standard foods are reduced along with increasing the accountability of manufacturers. All the manufactures, traders, restaurants that are in the business involving food products have to obtain the FSSAI 14-digit license key that has to be printed on food packages.


Here are a few steps involved in the procedure to get food license:

  1. Our executive will collect the documents and information from you.
  2. We will make the application and share the acknowledgment.
  3. Upon receiving the application, the government will take around 45-60 working days to review all the documents and once they are verified, license will be approved.

Documents required

  • Copies of papers of owned property or agreement papers for rented property.
  • Plan for managing food safety or food safety management certificate.
  • Copy of Aadhar or Voter Identity card of Owner or Partners or Director.
  • Layout of processing unit and list of machinery and equipment for manufacturing unit.
  • List of food products prepared and pesticide residue report of water.
